How we handle your information

Last updated October 10, 2026.

Who we are

This site is run by Tru International Realty Corp, doing business as Tru Realty, a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York, at 98 Cutter Mill Road, Suite 343, Great Neck, NY 11021.

What we collect

  • When you contact us, ask for a tour or a valuation: your name, email, phone number, your message, and the home you asked about. With it goes the random number your browser keeps for this site (see “Website analytics”): it limits how many inquiries one browser can send, and ties the inquiry to the pages that browser opened on this site.
  • When you use the assistant on this site: what you type, and what it looks up to answer — our public listings, agent profiles and offices, and New York City public property records. If you ask it to request a tour, the details you confirm. We keep a record of the conversation (your messages, what it looked up and its answers) for 12 months, to check its answers and prevent misuse. Your IP address is not stored with it: instead the record carries a one-way code made from your network address and the date, so that one visitor’s questions on one day can be read together. The code cannot be turned back into your address.
  • When you visit: our hosting provider handles the technical details every website receives, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Website analytics

To learn which pages and homes are useful and how people find us, our own database records what happens on this site: the pages and listings opened, searches on the listings page (the words and filters searched for), and when an inquiry is sent, an account is signed in to, or a home is saved. With each, it keeps:

  • a random number your browser keeps for this site (in its storage, not a cookie), and one for the visit;
  • the page’s address, without anything after the “?”;
  • the campaign tags in the link you arrived by (utm_source and the like), and the name of the website that sent you — for example google.com, never the page;
  • whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a computer.

It does not keep your IP address, your browser’s full description, or the full address of the page that linked to us, and no analytics or advertising company receives any of it. Our office’s reports show totals — visitors, pages, sources — not what any one person did. When you send an inquiry, where you first came from (those tags, that website and the first page you opened, within the last 90 days) is kept with it, and whoever handles your inquiry can see it.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded, and no campaign tags, source or first page are added to your inquiry. Only the agent whose link you followed still goes with it (see “Your Tru agent” below). These records are deleted after 13 months.

Your Tru agent

If you open a link a Tru agent shared with you, or come to an agent’s page on this site from somewhere else, your browser remembers that agent for 90 days: their name, photograph, title, phone number, WeChat and company email, as their page shows them — in this browser’s storage, not a cookie, and not on our servers. Our pages then show them as your agent, and an inquiry you send from this site names them, so it goes to them. Once a visit the site checks that they are still on our website, and forgets them if not. Because this is how your inquiry reaches the agent helping you, it happens with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track too. To remove it, choose “Not your agent?” or the × on the bar at the bottom of the page; a link from another agent replaces it.

Website accounts

You can make an account with a code sent to your email, or with Google. It holds your email address and what you choose to add — your name, phone number, language, what you are looking for, and whether an agent may contact you — along with the homes and searches you save, the requests you send while signed in, and the homes you open while signed in (your “Recently viewed” list). Our office can see the details on your account.

To delete your account, use “Delete my account” on the Profile tab of your account page, or write to us. Your account, what is saved to it and what you viewed while signed in are deleted; requests you sent stay with our office as described above, no longer linked to an account.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.

How we use it

To reply to you, to pass your request to the right agent, to arrange showings, to keep the records a New York brokerage is required to keep, and to protect this site from misuse.

Who handles it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this site, runs the programs behind its forms and assistant, and stores the photographs and files on it.
  • Supabase stores our records and handles sign-in, for our agents and staff and for website accounts.
  • Google, if you choose “Sign in with Google”: Google confirms who you are and gives us your name and email address. Nothing else from your Google account is shared with us.
  • Resend sends our email: when you send an inquiry, a copy of it (your name, email, phone number and message) is emailed to our office and to the agent handling it.
  • DeepSeek, an AI model provider based in China, receives what you type to the assistant on this site, and what it looked up, so it can write a reply. Our agents and staff also use it to translate and draft text, and in their own assistants, which send it the records of clients and inquiries they look up to answer — these can include your name, contact details and message from an inquiry you sent us. Please do not type financial account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details into the assistant.
  • Alibaba Cloud (Model Studio, Singapore) reads pictures that our agents and staff add to their own assistant, using its Qwen model. Pictures are not sent from the public website.
  • Public records services — NYC Open Data (the City of New York), New York State’s open data (data.ny.gov) and the State’s GIS service (gisservices.its.ny.gov): when you search an address on our listings page, or ask the assistant about a property, your browser asks them directly for that building’s public record. They receive the address you typed and, as any website does, your IP address; nothing else about you.

Otherwise we share your information only when you ask us to — with the other side of a transaction, for example — or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it to help you, and as long as New York’s recordkeeping rules for real estate brokers require. After that it is deleted.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected] or calling (929) 806-0505. We will answer within a reasonable time, and keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Agents and staff

People who sign in to the agent and staff portal use it under their agreements with Tru Realty. What they enter there is handled under those agreements and this policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.
